Second behind Waterloo station, Victoria Station is the second busiest train station in all of London. According to the National Rail website, Victoria Station serves over one hundred and fifteen million people each year on its rails. Originally two different train stations, one servicing the Kent side of London and the other servicing the whole of Sussex, London Victoria combined the two separate stations into one “super station.”

The train station portion of London Victoria may only be the second biggest of its kind but the Underground portion of the station services over seventy seven million passengers each year and is by far London’s largest Underground station. Navigating your way around the station and Underground system may be difficult but understanding that there are many different lines throughout the network is a good start. Each line runs through a series of different stations and in order to switch lines, to go in a different direction, you need to find a station that services both the line you’re on as well as the line you’re looking to change to. London Victoria services three of the largest lines in Britain, including the Circle Line, Victoria Line, and District Line. In general, these three lines will services the majority of places you’d want to see in London.
