Victoria station is known for being one of the central transport hubs if London. Not only does it have an underground tube line but an overground railway station and a National Express bus station which serves many other destinations in the UK and abroad. It is currently the second busiest station in London, second to Waterloo.

The main station was originally opened in 1868, with the north-bound branch opening in 1872. The station currently serves almost 80 million passengers every year, which often results in overcrowding. At peak times the entrances have to be shut to allow the large flow of people to move through.

The station is currently in talks about renovating this railway station to make it more accessible and able to cope with the volume of people that use it. This is due by 2017, although no plans have been released as of yet.

If you are arriving into Victoria underground station and need a mode of transport to get you around the busy city, then is is suggested that you rent a hire car. If you do this in advance then you can arrange exactly where you want to collect you car from, be it one of the London airports or even a specific downtown location.

If you want to know how much car rental hire in an around Victoria will cost you, then enter a few important details into the search engine and you will be given a list of quotes in minutes.

You can take a train to Victoria Station and from there rent a vehicle from a Victoria Station car hire so you will have transportation to wherever you’d like to go. The Grosvenor Hotel is right about the Brighton line entrance of the station so you could take the train straight to where you’ll be staying if you booked a room there.
