Victoria Station provides all the sites and sounds of London’s bustling underground railroad, from the history to the future. Finding yourself immersed in the district and enjoying the sites and sounds, you may be wondering where you can grab a bite to eat and be on your way. While not as visually appealing as Tower Bridge, the restaurants around Victoria Station are still second to none in their cuisine offerings.

About Thyme

About Thyme is a small bar and grill situated smartly on Wilton Road in an unassuming purple building. Without knowing what you are stepping into, you might assume it is just another local shop with mediocre service and cuisine, but you would be wrong. About Thyme has some of the best service you will find in the restaurant scene in and around Victoria Station and the food is absolutely exquisite with affordable pricing. It is a definite must for anyone in the area.

Boisdale

For the quintessential British bar experience in Victoria Station, Boisdale is your one stop shop. Labeling itself as a Scottish whiskey and cigar bar with British cuisine and a strong French influence, Boisdale offers a myriad of sites, smells, and flavors. A wonderful Scottish dining atmosphere is available and the rich offering of hefty meat dishes could make any vegan cringe, though they do cater well to vegetarians. The restaurant is rather small and has outside seating in the garden, so if you want to assure yourself a seat, definitely make a reservation.

Travelling anywhere is very tiring. There are many reasons for this but the main one is stress. When you are travelling to get someone there is so much that you need to be concentrating on and aware of; cancellations, possible delays, what you’re going to do upon arrival, how you’re going to get around – all these things and many more worry us and make us constantly alert. Whenever we hear that a train is delayed we immediately assess how it will affect the rest of our journey. We think about whether we’ll be able to catch the train that we have to get at the next station and what the alternatives are if we are unable to do so. We think about how much money we may have to spend on making up for the errors of the train companies.

This creates a lot of stress and makes you very tired so the last thing you want to be doing when you arrive at the station is travel even further to get to your destination, so why bother? Stay at the hotel at Victoria station. It is an excellent hotel that is able to accommodate you for one night or maybe even more (you never know, you may enjoy the hotel so much that you want to spend your whole holiday there). You can have breakfast in the restaurant in the morning or even have service up to your room. The most important thing, however, is that the bed is ready and waiting for you when you arrive; you just have to fall into it and sleep away the stresses of the day just passed.
